Old.
I got pity carded at the liquor store.  I kick the first person who says I’m ___ years young.

I am looking forward to drinking one of those and listening to some of this (some more) this last holiday weekend.  Prince Rama really was the surprise band of 2011 for me - I just learned of them a couple of weeks ago, and have had two of albums on repeat all week long.  Sloppy psychedelic Krishna-vs.-Numan synthy/gothy goodness — or something like that

In the nineties. From here. { No ill will to Ms Brownstein. I watched Portlandia on Christmas; it made me depressed. }

Reviews
Whenever I read a mean or missing-the-point review of something I love, I try to go find things that the reviewer has enthusiastically endorsed.  I’m usually not surprised to find all those things are shit.

You are listening to New York. →
youngmanhattanite: Ambient music and live NYPD radio feed. Everyone should skip that Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close movie and listen to this for two hours.

I am enthusiastic and in need of a thesaurus.
Prince Rama ‘Trust Now’ is totally the kind of music they would play on Teletunes [1 2]for all us alt kiddies back in the late ’80s.  Not quite any one thing, but people with tall funny hair could dance to it.  Am smitten.

It's a cute idea →
But until checks come in, I doubt the veracity of anyone claiming to “pay bands.”  If you really love music, pay the band you like money for their shirts and/or recordings directly.  Enough with these pwecious third parties.
