Haters can hate, but I’m a giant sucker for pageantry -
1) FORMALITY. No one is hugging anyone as the guests arrive for the wedding. Can we have less hugs in daily life, not just on special occasions?
2) Hats!
3) The little silly crowns or standard icons they plunk on cars carrying royals. Hysterical.
4) Women allowed - no - expected - to wear lovely dresses with SLEEVES. Christ, you never see dressed up women rocking sleeves and full skirts anymore. So many gorgeous dresses.
5) [not a ‘like’ but a ‘ha’] The archbishop took Kate’s hand from her father and placed it in William’s hand. Good thing; that’s not something she could possibly do on her own. What year is it? Can I vote yet?
6) The queen does not sing ‘God Save the Queen’
Not linking this because it’s true or I like to point out that I’m an introvert - so there - but rather, has anyone done a similar examination of extroverts? These types of things are always written as though an introvert is some fancy snail you might find under a rock somewhere deep in the forest. Everyone I am friends with is an introvert - I don’t know any real extroverts (and the ones I suspect of being so, I can’t stand - but have no idea if I dislike them for being extroverts or for being assholes).
It’s not even summer and I broke down and called the cops because someone was playing ridiculously loud club music for over an hour. At 7p. On a Wednesday night.
I dread when it’s actually hot - will the cops get sick of me? Can’t they just give me a special number (akin to what some call the ‘round file’ for unwanted documents)?
In other news, I called the cops - which is something I’m usually too squeamish to to.
Why would you use photos of someone (real person, non-celebrity) who isn’t you - but who is known to you - as an icon or avatar?
They’re here!

Just walking behind a Guy wearing a MiT ballroom dancing team jacket. Awesome.
EDIT: More here! http://ballroom.mit.edu/
I was lukewarm on the last single until about the 10th listen - so will give this one the same benefit of the doubt
I’ve had a song by Little Lowell in my head since yesterday but can’t find any instance of it online to share - so learn more about ‘The Singing Midget’ and hum something Biblical
Just because original fans of 80s bands are old doesn’t mean we’re senile. Heard this band ‘Shout Out Louds’ this morning on ZBC and - well, this blog post says it all.
I guess striving for originality is passé. {really really passé as I see this song is 4 years old}
